Viewing of CATV programming is on the decline. Credit crunch and the housing market have already resulted in a little slow down of fiber to the home activity. Ethernet backbones for backhaul are moving in the direction of full turnkey solutions from alternative access providers. Cost differences between EVDO and WiMAX might not turn out to be very significant. Widespread deployment of 40G/100G is hardly around the corner. |
